Air Cdre (Rtd) Rick Holt RAF

Rick Holt served in the RAF for 30 years as an Avionics and then Communications Engineer, finishing as an Air Commodore on the MOD Central Staffs where he worked as a policy director. He completed his first degree at Manchester University and his post-graduate degree at Birmingham University.

Rick attended the RAF Advanced Staff course, first as a student and then as a member of the directing staff. He later attended the Royal College of Defence Studies. He was fortunate to have a command tour at each rank and served in Madagascar, Hong Kong, Gibraltar and Berlin, as well as in the UK.

After leaving the RAF and MOD, Rick joined Lockheed Martin in London, working for 14 years as a business development director. On retirement from full time work he acted as a consultant first for IPL, a software company based in Bath and then for Nvidia, the US computing company.

In proper retirement now, Rick does a little pro bono work and sails his very old yacht.
